We hosted our first in-person event to celebrate the third anniversary of Designer Babe’s inception. As the clock struck noon, excitement filled the air, and attendees began to trickle into the event venue, their enthusiasm palpable.

DB had emphasised the importance of arriving early for the event, and 80% of guests were on time, eager to immerse themselves in the festivities.

Amidst the lighthearted camera clicks, the atmosphere hummed with the warmth of reunions as friends reunited for the first time since the tumultuous days of the 2020 lockdown.

As the suspense grew, DB arrived and graced the event with her presence. She moved through the crowd gracefully and elegantly, welcoming each person as if it were a long-awaited reunion with
an old friend.

DB, the embodiment of poise, took centre stage and greeted everyone with warmth, promising an unforgettable day of inspiration and innovation.

The first item on the agenda was a speed networking session. With the timer set and hearts pumping, the hall was ready for the session. Each participant received an event guide on arrival, including introductory questions designed to spark a connection.

Strangers quickly became allies, and acquaintances became prospective colleagues. In 30 minutes, we shared ideas, with each interaction demonstrating the power of human connection and the joy of community.

As we reached the event's peak, guests picked up their wine glasses, and all eyes turned towards the stage for the chat.

Peace Itimi took the stage with Designer Babe, delving deep into the tapestry of her remarkable career.

The event ended on an intense high, leaving the room with renewed hope, energy and newfound ambition.

Special thanks to the capable team of volunteers who worked hard to ensure a smooth run of the day. You rock!
